hi!! im new to yahoo answers and im trying to find some things out. how do you get a lot of people to reply to your question if you are not a celebrity?any questions that got high replys not asked by a celebrity?

It seems to me that you are on the right track. I've noticed that questions in the survey catergory seem to get a lot of answers!

You have changed your appearance since I seen you in the movies.
A good question will get a good answer. Remember, it is -5 points everytime you ask a question. But, the real points is having the best answer to a question which gives you 10 points each. When I do ask a question, I have usually have an answer within 5 -7 answers. I have no idea who is a celebrity here or not, I don't know anyone personally, only by avatar appearance.

Yes -if you hover around in level one for a long time you're rewarded and you get to be a featured question. Then you will get hundreds or even thousands of answers to your question even if it's not a good question. Then you can spend the next couple weeks reading all the answers in your spare time. Alas by then you will have missed the five day deadline and your question will be forced into voting thereby annoying everyone who spent their time typing long good helpful answers that you did didn't bother to choose a best answer. Now you have a lot of strangers mad at you and you didn't do anything -well, that's why they were mad at you really. If I've confused you -you're not alone.

Don't think you have to be a celebrity to get a lot of answers. You need to ask a question that is interesting, or simple. Sometimes I will answer the stupid ones just to get the 2 points.

If you want a lot of people to answer your question you need to make your question an attention-getter. For example: If your question is about naming your dog you should title it:
"Help! Dog Trouble!". Then curious people will click on your question and read "I need help with finding a name for my dog. It is a ....... and it looks like ......"
See, it attracts attention. Making a question is like finding a title for the front page newspaper article. You have to make it attention-getting. I hope that helps! (Please pick me as your best answer!)

Simple ones. LIke what's your favorite color? Or one that is stupid, but funny. Go to religion and ask about evolution, that gets a lot. Just don't ask about your avatar, that is so played. Some have said my pic got their attention.

u have to have a really cool and pretty nick name that goes along with the question... then u have to have a really superb avatar. then after that u have to hook up ur profile with something flashy and cool.... after that.,,..... u have to come to people as if u r da "man".... that if they don't answer ur "q" that they r wack!!!!!!!!!!! wellz,....... if u wer born a star.,.... u wer born a star. u have to be a star to get many answers lol. that's the only answer. pls pick me as ur best answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
