It's funny, there's this one girl that's a crewleader at this smoothie place we work at, and everyone I talk too always gripes about her!

Why is it some people just make everyone hate their guts? This chick kinda has no people skills, has delusional fantasies of becoming a chef even though she's just working at a smoothie/wrap place. She's a failure at being a crewleader, and just a leader in general. I pity her, yet I wouldn't hesitate to take her position knowing I could do a hell of a better job! Not to mention that I'm well-liked too, which helps!

I'm good at being a leader, mentor and a teacher!

Everyone likes me but everyone hates our lead..he's so busy standing around trying to catch people talking or doing something else like he has nothing better to do but harass everyone and i mean out of about 200 people i work with all hate him!! His nose is so far up managements butt it's pathetic.. Now picture a man in his 40's running into the supervisor's office snitching to gain brownie points..Come on!!!

Some people are never meant to be leaders or mentors, but are put in those positions because they pay better than being a "peon" or because they are really the only "qualified" candidate who will accept the responsibility.

I've worked for some bad managers in the past (when I was in retail), but I know they are in every profession. As a supervisor, you may never have everyone like you, but you should at least have their respect. If people are talking about her behind her back, she had neither and should not be the person in charge.

Also, a note to you: if you want to be a good leader, set the example for the others and don't gossip or backstab. They like you, but if you get their trust and respect you'll be golden.

The Dalli Llama (I don't know how the hell to spell it) claims that building relationships is the single most important factor to happiness- and I couldn't agree more. Since you do not get to choose your co-employees, you have to actually make an effort to build and maintain your work relationships. I pity her if everyone hates her. Keep up the good relations with all the people in your life, and you'll find that you enjoy going to work and every where else as well. What better way is there to be happy?

Sounds like a personal problem... I know the feeling... everybody hates me- always did, always will. People that I've never even met- hate me, everybody here on Yahoo! hates me too. That's life.

I'm the boss. So if I'm hated, my "co-workers are at least smart enough to keep their opinions to themselves.

You deride her place of employment, yet you work at the same place?
