Do you mean, just tossed it out there, or put it into the ground as if he were planting flowers or laid it out on top of the ground in a pattern? If he just tossed it out there I believe I would ignore it as long as it wasn't in my yard; if he planted it or laid it out in patterns, I believe I would take the first opportunity I had to let him know that plastic will not repel the aliens from outerspace, nor will it deflect the government's radioactive waves aimed at his brain. If he questions that, tell him that only silverware made of pure gold will serve either of those purposes. Say it with a straight face, you don't want someone like that getting the idea that you are joking with him.
