If you are unable to write, then change the focus. It is not the writing that is the concern, but the creativity, and the use of it, right? Instead of writing, go ahead and just talk it. Sing it. Dance those words out of your mouth. This can be much better if you know how to use it right. Go buy a mini tape recorder or something and go have fun! I hope this helps. Cheers!

Writing poetry is an art. How can you not enrich your life and others through your art. If you don't have the time, you should be asking a different question. How do I get my life back in balance so I have enough time to feed my body, mind and soul? Poetry comes on inspiration, but it takes discipline to not follow every inspiration. Work on your discipline to write when it is appropriate.

There have been times in the wee hours of the night when I've been hit with a verse. I've had to get up and write it down. I'f you love poetry so much, you won't have to make time for it. You'll live and dream poetry. It will make time for itself. Be it on a napkin at a restaurant or on scrap paper at work, you won't have to think about it. It will come to you.

Talent isn't always all there is to doing something. You have to have a desire. If you don't want, really want, to write, time won't make a difference. If you do, you will find the time because it is something you have to do to feel complete.

Try writing poems for 10 minutes every day. Just 10 minutes. You'll find that it helps and you won't get writer's block, and the poems will add up if you actually stick to it and do it every day.
