Finding Nemo is a great movie to rent for the whole family to watch...but if you were thinking of something in theaters, then the movie Cars is an excellent choice.
Another great family movie to rent is The Chronicles of Narnia.
Hope this helps.

Common Sense Media is a great resource for family movies. You can visit the site http://www.commonsensemedia.org/reviews/index.php?showthis=AllMovies and sort family movie reviews by your children's age. They have a great family rating system and offer very comprehensive reviews that notify parents about any movie content that may not be appropriate so you can make an informaed decision.

Over the Hedge. Witout a doubt! I just took my 7 year olds to see this movie. I think I laughed harder than they did. It wasn't too grown like Shrek. It is a kids movie and has good clean fun in it. Hysterical!!!

"Cars" was fantastic, great fun for the entire family. There's something in it for every member of the family.
Don't be the first ones out of the theater, either. The scenes during the closing credits are really a few great laughs.

I just got through watching Madagascar. I thought it was cute and funny and it didn't have anything in it I wouldn't let my son watch.
I also liked Tuck Everlasting that was a really good family film but probably of more interest to girls than boys.
