Anytime that someone treats me with respect and makes me feel worthwhile, that is the sweetest thing. It is not often but it is a constant that I can thoroughly live with. Many times I have received "unexpected" gifts. What was so special about this was, there was no special birthday, holiday or celebration. Again, this was a wonderful remembrance of me. Even a kind thought or written note, is fully appreciated by me. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

The love of my life and I got back together two years ago after being apart for 18 years. On the my first birthday after we got back together he got up in front of a crowded bar and sang the ABSOLUTELY worst rendition of "When A Man Loves A Woman" and it was the sweetest thing any one has ever done for me.

When my girlfriend stopped on the side of the road and picked me some pretty wild flowers. It is not how much a person spends on you that is always the nicest. Sometimes it just simple unexpected things that are the sweetest.

My husband use to put little notes in my subway sandwich (like "your the best")...that was sweet.
Also, I didn't have a lot of money growing up and x-mas wasn't really a big deal most of my life (presents wise). My first x-mas as married couple my husband went crazy and bought me all kinds of wonderful things - he had so much fun picking stuff out...he didn't ask me for a thing...he just loved watching me open them....that was great.
I thought of another one...one weekend a long long time ago...me and my roommate went to the beach on vacation. We met some really nice people and one guy that liked me...maybe a little too much...I hung out with him for about a day 1/2.
So, it is time to leave and we are driving off and we got down the road and realized I forgot my purse...
We turn around and go back and our friends tell us that this guy was trying to find me to return my purse. They told me that he got on the ferry in hopes of tracking me down on the other side?.... anyway, it was funny...poor guy...we didn't take the ferry, we went a totally different way...so he even never saw us.
Get this...I guess he wasn't thinking or half asleep because he was only wearing his boxers and tennis shoes...no pants...no shirt..and holding a purse....ha ha! I bet that was a LONG ferry ride..ha ha!

Tell me if this is sweet:
For valentines day I got a dozen crystal roses(glass, plastic, whatever), colored them all different colors and put them in a vase. The vase was filled with hershey kisses. Each rose had a small hand-made envelope with a piece of a poem in it. Basically the pieces were arranged to make the poem into a puzzle :)
It was overkill and it didn't work, but I bet it's probably worth 10 points?

My mom and dad did lots for me. Even my brothers and sisters have done things for me. But one thing, done by an old friend of the family sticks out. My dad used to break horses. One time he tried to train this half quarter horse/half mustang. The horse was so wild, they named him Buck. He was a nervous but rowdy beast. But he was also, while not super tall, fairly big with a stout body and pretty color. I used to like to go borrow him and go for a ride. A friend might come along, but they'd get a gentle mare to ride on, and they couldn't keep up with me and Buck.
Eventually later on I moved to the big city. One day I came in to my mom and dad's house, and my dad said, guess what? I said, what? He said " " has given you Buck. He said he knew you liked him so much that he wanted you to have him. I was so happy. It was the nicest thing someone outside my family has ever done for me.
