best time to see the colour changes in niagara falls, the 1st 10 days of oct?

It all depends on the weather. If it's a hot fall, maybe more around the Canadian thanksgiving. If it's cooler as early as mid September, but roughly the first week of October is good.

You mean the freezing of the falls? That doesn't happen until around end of January. It freezes part way and seems to have a glow of different colours thru the ice

you mean the leaves changing colour. October is a good time.
