i agree with you on both points. unfortunately in the last several days this same WMD question keeps coming up but the liberals continue to refuse acknowledgement that it proves anything. They argue that they were non-functional, that they weree planted, that it's a lie...anything but that the president told the truth or acted prudently. They never will. These people aren't concerned with truth, they only care about their agenda and will beat this thing to death. Half are brainwashed nitwits the others are outright radical communist or islamist extremists bent on seeing this country defeated.
Just some info for those bringing up sarin gas degrading...do some research..i mean research not wikipedia. When exposed to air or water sarin will degrade within a matter of weeks. In earlier shells saddam had a problem stockpiling shells because they would degrade, therefore he started using a binary projectile. These rounds are compartmentalized having sarin contained isolated from the other component which was isopropyl alcohol. the two were mixed when the round was fired. THESE DO NOT DEGRADE!! GET IT?
lol...you know...the closer you get to proving something that they made such a big deal out of the more these bushbashers back away and then say the issue isn't important anyway. Why?...because as I've said..they DON"T CARE ABOUT TRUTH only their agenda.
I'll tell you this much zenkitty27; I've listened to the president speak quite often and spontaneously without notes and what he has had to say is a lot more substantive and coherent than most of your posts. So what have YOU been smoking?

So NOW WMD's are found. If you look hard and long enough you will find anything. Where were they found? Who found them? Who controlled them when they were found? Does 500 containers of questionably useful, degrading 50 gallon drums support a war? If that is the case, why haven't we attacked Iran, China or North Korea? They all have more, much more, than a mere 500 containers of crap. So what if WMD was found? Saddam Hussein did not blow up the World Trade Centers on 9/11? When will you Bush huggers get it through your heads that every country in the world has WMD? Were those 500 containers worth almost 3000 American lives and 30,000 lives of Iraqis? Are they worth turning every Muslim and the rest of the whole world ( except England ) against the the USA? I have a gun in my house. Depending on how I use it, is it not potentially a WMD?

What kind of knuckle dragging Zinjanthropi come up with this nonsense? Wake -up will ya! A cylinder is not a WMD, its a cylinder or maybe even a pipe, but that don't make it a WMD. That reasoning is called making the facts fit the conclusion and is false. Gold is used in atomic weapons and Saddam had a gold ring on his finger, egad, he had a weapon of mass destruction! The news teams are drumming up ratings and, oh yes, money, because the Neoconazi's only believe what they want to hear in their surrealistic make-believe world.

That Santorum/Hoekstra nonsense runs counter to the official report commissioned and released by the White House, also known as the Duelpher report, which stated that Saddam neither had WMDs nor the capacity to make WMDs. It also determined that the chemicals in the cylinders the story refers to were produced prior to 1991 and had long since degraded, making them worthless as weapons.
As for tracing phone calls, without oversight how can we be sure the information won't be used to blackmail people, such as journalists or political enemies?

funny, the only thing i do like about him is his immigration policy. isn't it strange how so many of can like some of the same things (ex. yahoo answers and puppies, who doesn't like puppies?) and still disagree so strongly on other things.
i don't hate bush. from what i've heard from a uber liberal who actually met him, he's a great guy. i can't begin to tell you how much it hurt him to say that.
i do hate most of his policies.
he favors tax cuts for the wealthy- if i make some money off capital gains, dividends; then i can afford to pay a higher rate on that income. trust me, i know because i'm rich.
those chemical weapons were old, forgotten and useless. they are about as deadly as a can of raid. he and the rest of the white house has openly admitted that the weapons weren't the ones they were looking for.
i'm an american, not a russian. as an american, i expect a certain amount of privacy. having a camera directly hooked to and monitored by the police would save lives to. but do you really want that? they see you picking your nose and your a$$. i have friends who are cops. i don't want them seeing me do those things. and don't tell me they won't abuse those powers. they already do. what about cigerette smoke? what's wrong with making people smoke only in their homes? that saves lives doesn't it? get the government out of my life.

Yes...he did lie. You need to get the facts on the WMD's and many other things. There are many reasons that I can't stand him. The main one is just the fact that he is so friggin' ignorant. He smoked a lot of dope or something because he can't even form a complete sentence without help. He doesn't follow through on or change anything for the better. I honestly can not think of one good thing he has done for this country. Even that stupid tax rebate thing he gave out was a scam. It wasn't anything extra.

im pretty sure that if there were actual wmd found over there at any time, ones that actually worked, that info would have been trumpeted loudly and often by bush's press team, classified or not, they would at least have been immediately leaked, as for the other things you mention, its a foot in the door if you are paranoid, and not only has he mishandled illegal immigration but many other things here too.

Support our leader....this is a clear case of united we stand divided we fall. Shame on the New York Times. Kerry, Palosi, Kennedy, and Dean. Unite us do not divide us. The political consequences will be disastrous for you. Hillary knows that why don't you.
P.S. John McCain for president in 2008 God Bless

He can't make up his mind. They did have weapons of mass destruction. Then they didn't have weapons of mass destruction. No, wait. They did have weapons of mass destruction. This guy is worse tha a yo-yo. He is utterly clueless as to what Darth Cheney is writing for him to say. I can almost see the puppet strings whenever Bush speaks on TV

Can you please site a reference. Last I checked he said that no WMD were found. I haven't heard about it in the news. I am sure that they would report it. I am going to have to ask for a reference on this one.
