sup 2 trill! I have seen both of these & I like Diary of a mad black
woman because this is what going on right now in relationships
& on the other hand ATL is what is going on ghetto after ghetto
good times & bad times state to state city to city..The ATL reminds me of Roll Bounce mostly..Peace thanks for asking

I turned off Diary of a Mad Black Woman after the husband dragged her out of her house in the beginning. That was enough for me to know this movie is not portraying a true essence of strong female empowerment, it's using overdramatic license to con me into believing she endured so much. So I'm going with ATL, and I haven't even seen it.

I've seen both and I prefer ATL because both of them have good morals, DOAMBW's moral is woman empowerment, and ATL's moral is stay out of the game, and become successful, and ATL really does get to the point in a side character, TI's bro. And he learns the lesson by getting shot in the near end.

these are two different movies and like both of them alot but i would have to say ATL its funny and is true to to our black generation. it wasnt just about violence, really wasnt about violence at all it was great i love New New and the twins
