Nothing really. Yesterday I was 41 and today I'm 56. Tomorrow I don't want to think about. Thankfully in a couple of days I should be so old I wont notice or care anymore.

I feel the same, even though I am just 16 but I guess its that when you are older, you think about things more and so you are more aware of the world around you and all and then you are more involved in it with more worries and so its more complicated and more fast. But don't dread being 81!!! Every age has its jewel. Being a teenager is not that easy. Its hard, with school and crushes and all =) When you are 81, you can look back at the past and tell stories. You are wiser. You are admired. And even if you went back to being young, then you'll be old again. I;m gonna be old too. The whole world will be old eventually. So just enjoy every second of your life. Be happy. Be happy you are alive and think about people who would love to have your health to be alive and who wish they could live. Spend time with your family and everything will go swell =]

The moments don't pass faster. It's more how each time period feels in relationship to the total time you've lived. When you're five, a year represents 20% of the life you've lived. At 20, it's only 5%. At 50 it's 2%. at 100, should you live so long, it's 1%. The years seem to slip by quicker and quicker, but each moment can still be rich and full of life. The trick is to learn to savor each moment, however fleeting it may seem. When we were young, we spent a lot of time complaining about how long we had to wait...until Christmas, until school was over, until we were old enough, etc. We didn't always appreciate the moment we were in because we were looking forward to something else. As we age, we have not only the joy of our memories but more of an ability to appreciate the time we have right now.

I am 22 and I think I have the answer to this question....

Look at it like this.....

On your first birthday, you were one year old
On your second birthday, your were one year older that 1, so the second year of your life was 1/2 your life

Now jump forward to your sweet 16. you just turned 1 year older than 15. So that year of your life was 1/16th of your life.

Years always go by the same, but once you have 81 years under your belt, a year is no longer a lot of time, a year at that point a 1/80 on your life, thats nothing.

it's not that time moves faster, it is that as you get older with more time behind you, the time ahead of you seems much shorter

I think the way to slow down time is to do more stuff, meaningful things that is, where it's a new experience or you're learning something. I.e. A 1-week vacation for me seems like an eternity when I'm struggling to get around in a different language, eating strange food, visiting new sites, seeing strange fish in the ocean, etc. Unfortunately I haven't taken a vacation in more than a year - where did the time go??

Really ?? I always think its the other way around. The last time I was remember I was wearing my junior high school uniform and now I am wearing my wedding dress. I feel that time runs a bit slower now that I am older 'cause we have so much more responsibility and tasks to do that makes everyday of life is a strungle.

It does fly by quickly. I feel like I was 21 not long ago. But it was 7 years ago. I want to know where the last 7 years went.

This happens because the longest unit of time you can actually experience is the length of time you have already been alive. Every new day becomes a smaller fraction of the whole, so time appears to accelerate.

Sucks, huh?

So be happy NOW!

More likely you be 81 and 3 seconds later you'll find you're dead.

Fill each moment to the fullest...quit dreading the fact that time passes, and occupy your time by filling it.
