My brother and I want to get a tattoo together. We can't come up with any real good ideas. The only thing I can think of is that I would get something symbolizing 'sister' and he could get something symbolizing 'brother'. Any suggestions?

Make sure you really want a tattoo before you get one, because once it is on it is their forever. Get a tattoo that really means something for both you and your brother and good luck with your decision.

I think you should go with something a little more personal! I have many tatts and the ones I love the most are the ones with detail and thought and heart. I have plenty of symbols on my body that at this point in my life, are pretty lame
take an event or thing that you two have bonded over have something drawn up for you. A good tattoo artist can draw you up something really nice if the two of you tell the artist about yourselvs.

Think about things that the two of you enjoy doing together, things that you shared as a child, etc, and base your tattoos on that. If you have a hobby you share together and with no one else, then choose something that symbolizes that. Pick something that represents just the two of you, and they don't have to be matching as long as the symbolize the same...even just the fact of getting tattooed together should be a special tattoo.

Please don't scar your skin. You may very well regret it later. I'm presuming that you are young, as you rarely hear of older people getting one. Ask yourself why that is. Yes, that's right, it's dumb. Adopt a child in poor or war torn somewhere or other instead.
