http://www.mmorpg.com is a good place to get reviews and opinions about what's out there and what's coming up. Otherwise you could just head to Best Buy or Comp USA and get one. Guild Wars is a good one to start on, because there's no monthly fee.

I'm not sure if addicting games has multiplayer but try it out. I know they have rpg

to find rpgs..search on google...
but...for the rpg itself, i would recommend thang, or maple story, but it depends on if you are willing to pay money, becuase if you are willing to pay, then i would recommend world of warcraft
