The project could be Questions and Answers On the Internet. You can write a report on what happens on this service. The rest is up to you.

There are lots of topics to choose from, depending on what was assigned. You could do it on poetry or Myna birds or try to find out if it's possible to find out what George Washington's IQ was by analyzing what he wrote and how he used his words. Or maybe which islands in the Caribbean get the most hurricanes and why. Or why some islands get a lot more damage from the same hurricanes than others, and why it depends on how well the people take care of the land and keep it ready for hurricanes. Or why people in New York like cheesecake more than people in other cities. Or why cherries are smaller than apples.
