I think that myspace has some risks, but you just have to be careful. Don't talk with people you don't know. Also be careful about things that are posted on your page. Sometimes people can have enough details on their page to be easily tracked down. Its just like anything else in life....you must use caution. It is very sad to think that myspace could be outlawed because parents don't keep track of what their children are doing on the internet. Hopefully it never comes to that. It has been such a nice thing for me. I have found alot of old friends that I had not spoken to in years. I love myspace.

The world is a dangerous place for young girls. The internet is a dangerous place for young girls. And young boys too. And yes MySpace is part of all that. Girls and boys playing on the internet need to learn never to give any personal information about themselves or their friends or families. That includes last names, name of your school, sports teams you play on, where you hang out after school and even pictures with recognizable landmarks near your home. It's amazing how much info a predator can collect and store just from those silly surveys kids send around. Parents should be carefully monitoring their kids' activities on the internet.

it all depends on if you are a parent and if your going to monitor the site for her. If not going to spend the time and do that then it can be very dangerous place. Would you take your daughter and drop her in NYC centrol park by herself. That is how you should treat the internet if you don't watch out for her then almost any site is dangerous. Get a program to watch what she does on the computer and have it send emails to you keeping you updated. This way you can watch her with out her knowing. Try http://www.spectorsoft.com/ eblast it works really good and she will never know you have it on there and you can monitor everything she does. Protect her

Not if you don't give out to much personal info its not like just by going on my space you will get abducted.....Anywhere on line can be potentially dangerous if you leave your self open to some of the perverts out there but theres a lot better chance of a young girl getting abducted out in the real world then through your computer..........PARENTS SHOULD BE WATCHING THEIR KIDS

Yes. It is very easy to accidentally put too much information up there. Even if you think you're being safe, you've got to be very careful not to provide any personal information that could let any sickos find you. It's also very important to understand that many people are not who they say they are. I think places like myspace are good places for pedophiles to look for their prey.

The Net as a whole is dangerous to young people; especially those that believe what they read.... Young people should be monitored by a trusting adult and their activities should be monitored closely. NEVER give out personal information and NEVER trust what you read on My Space...there are a lot of shady people out there misrepresenting themselves..... Please take care on the Net....

Watch tv news and read the papers. Yes, it is, particularly if you are too young to use good judgment. I'm sure it could be fun if you are not the type who believes everything people say in there.

Good luck and please be careful.

If used unwisely, yes. Just make sure not to reveal any type of personal information. Address, phone number, where you go to school, places you hang out, last name, etc.

I don't think it's really that dangerous if you are very careful and have a good sense of reality.

Extremely - parents need to very closely monitor their childrens activities online; know who they're communicating with.
