I know it doesn't work on mouse pads, either. Is there something in the market to solve this? Thanks.

Try a small piece of linoleum or formica or paneling.

Hope that helps.

The only solution I can think of is a mouse pad. I dont see how it wouldnt work. I would just change the mouse then since its obviously going to bother you. Get a trackball mouse, it will work on any type of surface.

Get a cardboard cutout and put the mouse pad over it and maybe that will work. Or cut a wooden board and place it under the mouse.

I've had some similar problems with optical mouses. I actually use either the back of a thin notebook (one of those cheap school notebooks that have about 70 pages) or sometimes a non-glossy magazine. Right now I'm even using a Pennsylvania Driver's Manual.
