Don't you dare. I don't want to support you, I have enough trouble supporting myself and all the other lazy people on it. Don't get me wrong, I AM liberal, however, it should be MY CHOICE who I want to give help to, I shouldn't have to pay into it by force.

Pump out a bunch of illegitimate kids, sell some drugs, wear Tommy clothes, and drive up to the welfare office in your Lincoln Navigator! They love to give assistance to people like that!

you can't get welfare without going through a program to get a job first
the job will most likely pay more and we wonder why our country is in debt.
Having to pay for those who don't want to work and make an honest living

Spend all your money, sell your car, have a baby, pretend you don't know who the father is and you're set. Thankfully Bush did some reorganization on the welfare system, so it's a little more difficult now to make it a career.

Do you actually need it? I know some people do. My mom did until recently. But if you actually do need it, go to your state's government page and search for social services.
Oh, and if you're being for real... ignore the hateful people here. There are people who abuse the system but there are *at least* as many who really do need it. It doesn't make much sense to work 40+ hours/week, be away from your kids all day/night, and still make less money than you would've if you'd just stayed home. But people are faced with that decision all the time. My mom was.

not sure why ur not asking for help finding a J-O-B instead, but........ what state r u in? i know here (from past deadbeat roommates who abused the system) that u call the department of family services, and ask them to mail u the applications or forms required, and then u fill in the info, and mail them back in. just be honest, don't lie like she did. and try to find a job! welfare is ok if u truely need it, but u shouldn't rely on it.
