It wouldn't sound right unless you said kids from your ethnicity too.
It's like using the "N" word and not being black. Some things have a different meaning coming from other than. it's the context used. And it would have to be racist coming from someone who is not the same race because you couldn't possibly only see Black or just one ethnic group doing the tearing up. cause I know all kids do things. It's a Kid thing. not a race. All kids tear up stuff.

If it were true that only the black kids were doing it and you said it, it would not be racism, but if I were you, I wouldn't say it because you would sound racist. Like if you were to complain to someone about their behavior you should go to the person in charge and say: There are some kids messing up in there!

It depends. If she was talking about specific kids in the neighborhood, who just happen to be black, who are always causing trouble, then it really wasn't a racist comment at all.
It would be different to say "Oh, vandalism. Yeah, all black people do that." Now that would be racist, no matter who it comes from.

It's politically corectness run amok. I guess you'd be right.
It also has something to do with a member of a certain group being able to say things about other members of the same group. It's ok for band geeks to make fun of other bang geeks, but when a jock does it all the band geeks get pissed. Got it?

i think you would be right. Not all black kids do that, and maybe some white kids do it, too. The black kids in your town might be stereotyped as kids who always mess things up just for the heck of it. Now, that's not always true with every black kid you see, is it? No.

yes you more than likley would be considered racist. its just the way it is it is wrong but not much you can do about it. white people will always be racist if they say something about a different race, but if a black person said something about a white person they would "just be telling the truth"

How do you figure that? First and foremost, who told you that your assessment or observation of the facts is indeed racist? Look man, just stick with the facts. She called it as she saw it, so can you. I don't have an issue with that.

It was racist for her to say it as well. People can be prejudiced against their own people. The problem is not the children's race. It's probably their age and maturity levels.

She was just pointing out the truth. But we Whites aren't supposed to know that, are we? We're expected to believe other than what our own eyes tell us. And we're not supposed to let personal experience effect our views either, or else we'll be labeled "Nazis".
