Wow, preggy at 15.. As a friend the best thing you can do for her is just stand by her side. She is going to be doing a lot of growing up and she is going to change a lot. She has to, she is going to be a mom now. A little work will not hurt her either. Have her go to McDonalds or something like that and start earning some money and saving for this baby. What about the babies dad? He sould do the same. Babies take a lot of money. Wal*Mart has "One Source Prenatal Vitamins" for like $5.00. They also have a brand of diapers called WhiteCloud that work just as well if not better than the national brands(huggies, pampers, ect).

Also tell her to be honest with everyone. What is the point of hiding it, they are going to know sooner or later. As she gets money saved, go to garage sales with her. Help her pick out stuff. Don't get any ideas yourself. She needs to be eating right and walking a lot( it will help labor). If you are a true friend you will just let her know you still love her even if you don't totally understand what she is feeling or going thru... oh, and some pregnante women get really moody.. its the hormones.. just hang in there.

First your friend needs to find out if the dad is going to support her through all the stuff that happening in her life. If he agrees with her she striaght buying the formula and diapers and making sure the baby have all the required materials. She should also find financial help (money to help her with the baby) then from there she should be on the right pathway. I would know because I had a baby, but I was not 15 I was 18

Is the guy staying with her? I'd say they need to work hard on their relationship, because once you get pregnant, moods change. Once the baby comes, it will be difficult. They realy have to care about eachother.
As for the baby! CONRATS!! Great decision on keeping it. Start going to regular prenatal appointments to keep her and the baby healthy. She should get vitamins there, but additional supplements are good too.
She will need alot! Diapers, wipes, car seat, stroller, clothes, bottles, playpen, crib, and Oh SO MUCH MORE!! Including the support of others! Pregnancy is a difficult time for a girl, i can only imagine what it would be like that young.

The first thing she needs to do is to start having prenatal care. Having regular appointments with a doctor or midwife is very important to insure the health and safety of the baby.

The first things that she'll need will include:
a bassinet or crib
lots of baby blankets
some t-shirts
lots of onsies
some sleepers
a few pacifiers (not necessary, but they do come in handy)
a breast pump and milk storage containers (if she plans on breastfeeding but will not always be a home for feedings)
bottles (there are bottles that are designed to help babies go back and forth from bottle to breast)
nipples (that are appropriate for the type of bottle being used)
a pack of newborn diapers
at least a dozen cloth diapers with lots of diaper pins (if she plans to use cloth diapers)
a swing and playpen (not absolutely necessary, but are very nice to have)
an infant car seat (I suggest getting a head support and strap covers as well)
a stroller (not necessary but having one makes things easier)

I wish your friend luck. It sounds like she has at least one caring person (you) in her life, so I'm sure everything will work out well.

She should get:
Mozart on CD (relaxation)
Yoga, walking (exercise helps with labor)
Dippers(Soooo many dippers)
Safety gates, and child proof locks on cabinets, safety on outlets.
A job would help
Supportive family and friends
Vitamins
Not to many foods with high acid or sodium content
Cloths, soft blankets, toys
Sanitizer (baby's have weak immune systems)
Second hand, and generic is fine

Help her to continue her education, there is a lot of options like Internet school (some are free like connections academy.)

PS
She should start an savings account for the kid if she can. Two dollars a day, in a 10% yielding account (for the first 5 years)could pay for the kid's collage.

BEST OF LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

Prepare to tell her parents! They will be in for a HUGE shock. A 15 year old baby having a baby? Say Goodbye to Fun and say Hello to Bigger Clothes, Embarrsement, and Bags under the Eyes! I feel sorry for her, I bet the Father probably wont stay with her for too long. Just be a good friend and Support her, she'll need it..

Prepare herself emotionally as much as she can, read magazines on health during pregnancy, maybe join teenage mother support groups. Make sure she dosen't stress too much just because she is pregnant at a young age, stress isn't healthy for the baby and teen pregnancy/motherhood isnt the best thing but DEFINENTLY isn't as bad as society makes it out to be at times.Just be there for her.

Tell your friend to get as much rest and sleep as she can right now, because once the baby is there, she will no longer have a good nights sleep. She will lose alot of it for the next 18 + years.

I had my first baby @ 16. Your friend needs to see a doctor like now. & tell her parents they'll help. mine were angry at first but then they were very helpful. Also I finished high school then got married, then had baby # 2. & I have a great life abortion isn't the best option or the only one. Also my friend had one & it totally ruined her body & she'll never have babies & she wants one so bad.
