Not a scare, its real!!!Stop driving, use your bikes, walk and use the bus. Make every change you can. Only buy recycled, and recycle that. Go to your city hall, request that they do something about the air pollution in your area - fine factories ect. Factories can reduce pollution but they WILL NOT until the people,(You and Me) start kicking their heels. It may not be too late to reduce some of the effects!!!! DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uhhhhh....it's not a scare. It's something that is happening and has been happening for a long time. It will continue to happen and I doubt there's something that can be done.

Haven't you noticed the weather change? It's not the same as it was even just 10 years ago.

That's what you get when you overpopulate the earth, overproduce garbage and emit every and any kind of emmissions constantly on a daily basis. This planet can't handle it forever.

It's sad that we're going to kill our home before the sun gets to.

Polar bears are drowning, since when has that happened? The point is that we're making earth unhealthy. Wild fires are spreading like crazy, there are more droughts which is horrific in places like Africa, the Amazon river is evaporating, hurricanes are getting worse because of the heat. Cases of asthma have doubled since the 70's, Greenland is melting, Global Warming Is For Real better start riding your bike or buing Flex Fuel Cars and recycling :)

Sorry, pal. This is no scare. This is real. And despite what Gore's movie says, it's too late to do anything about it. So sit back and enjoy the hurricanes and the storms (sand and rain) and the lack of rain and buy waterfront property now where the beaches will be after a 10-20 meter rise in sea levels.

I think it's true...to a certain degree. Politicians exploit it to get ahead in the polls and businesses exploit it to get more money.
We need to be careful about energy and how we care for the earth, but people make way too big of a deal with it.
We're already making somewhat of a difference and if the hybrid and energy saving/recycling trend continues, we'll be on the way to repair or at least not worsening it as much as before.
We just need to be extra careful, because freaking out isn't the best way to solve any problem.

Its for real. The ocean is getting bigger as the ice caps recede.
The water that circulates around the globe in the oceans is getting to much fresh water in it for it to cool off the heated waters that head north from the warmer climates.
This is caused by green house gasses that are blanketing our earth. Its holding the heat from the sun in like a lid on a pot holds in steam. That in turn melts the ice causing the fresh water in the oceans and is slowly killing us. Scientists believe that it is the hottest its been in over 400 years.

the scare is getting bigger as the desserts advance
if you happen to live in these areas, like in North Africa,India,Mexico ,China

and you dont enquire about possible solutions ,so i have listed them anyway for your attention

in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert, the globe where they were got to hot for them .
and instead of producing food they are now needing it from some where else, and they will drastically effect the world food prices when they start buying water in the form of grains ,at any cost destabalising governments, in some countries ,could be the result
(are you seeing more Chinese around interested in agricultural lands ,we do here in Mexico)

this was man made global warming because of over grazing and fertilizers, and they are not the only ones
collectively this planet is drying up ,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and all of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were no desserts.

so as far as the food production is concerned Global warming or some of its effects are serious, rising seas result in landloss

each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss

more landloss because of desertification every year,we have less areble land to produce food ,for an extra 70 million people ,

and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,
and there are less and less farmers to do it..
who are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,
because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary or over grazing

Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,

At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.

SOLUTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes

reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.

the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.

the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia

Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.

the protection of existing forrests.

stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

education on environmental awareness

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.

more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks

,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour

alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine

recicling wastes,limit water use

Lester E Brown is the director and founder of the global institute of Environment in the United states .he has compiled a report based on all the satalite information available from NASA,and all the information that has
