I think a lot of times people forget about their question and by default, it goes to voting. I would think if we took the time to answer they should take the time to pick a best answer. If I couldn't choose I would put it in the "more details" part to let the answerers know. Just my opinion.

I like to vote - more points for me - but I do take offense when my answer isn't choosen and it's clearly the best one there.

not me..sometimes i get busy and i forget what day i asked what question..and it also helps with voting when its too hard to decide. but i usually try to choose my best answers because i get 3 points each!!! woo hoo....

i don't think it's rude...
the asker may be satisfied by none of the answers or ... he may also like many answers... in this case he can't decide... so that's where democracy comes in!!
tHe asker lets other users decide who wins...
