I recently got my scores back to the SATs, but I have no idea how I'm suppose to add up the points. There's a Critical Reading section, a Math section, Writing section, Multiple Choice section, and an Essay section. Which scores are the ones to add, which ones do I ignore? I'm confuesed! lol

Please if anyone can explain how to add scores on the SATs I would very much appreciate it. Thank you very much.

Typically, you should have 3 overall scores. Each of these scores is out of 800, and the average is (or probably should be) in the 500 range.

So you add the three together to get your overall SAT score.

I took the SAT in April of 2001, so I had the old one.

Math: 560
Verbal: 560

Overall: 1120 (I did better on the GRE)

Your should say:

Math: x
Verbal: y
Writing: z

So it's x+y+z

The significance of the scores depends on the selectivity and the geographic location of the undergraduate schools you're applying to.

The SAT gets you into college for an undergraduate (bachelors) degree. The SAT is a universal attempt for each guy or woman and at the same time as there are concern assessments, they do no longer likely have an bearings on what you learn at college. once you're in the properly suited 4%, you've got scored a 1400 or so on the SAT even with the indisputable fact which you're able to no longer write that on a job utility. The assessments are diverse and you're able to come for the time of as cheating. purely write which you fell in the properly suited 3.ninety 5 percentile on your standardized attempt. EDIT: I meant 1400 out of 1600 which became the way it was once scored. hit upon a conversion table from old to new to discern it out.

Your score should be right on that same sheet. I am confused that you don't see that on there. If you still can't find it, go to the office of your high school and ask the registrar for the info. The high school gets your grade reports, too, and they usually put it right on your high school transcript.

I thought there were only two scores: math and verbal.

I guess they changed the test up since I've taken it.

I get my results the 26th. Well, I really don't know haha but if you are using CollegeBoard.com it is straightforward and tells you. If not, idk sorry :)

Off topic but funny - I just had a dream like 2 nights ago and that I got a 708 on the SATs. I thought it was funny.
