that is a great question. I believe the American populace has become disenfranchised. We seem to put a lot of stock in how these elections are tallied when there are mechanical problems and corrupt election commissioners all over the place! You can't tell me a majority of the population voted for Dubya!

You have some legitimate issues there, but are blowing them WAY out of proportion.

Redistricting is difficult. Both sides have abused it for over 150 years. I don't know the solution, but when we find one it might be best enshrined as a consititutional amendment. For now, the supreme court has already heard argument on the Texas case & will rule later this year.

As to voting machines... don't we have these things because democrats freaked over paper ballots in 2000? Now they're not good enough? Counties don't have money to change extremely expensive equipment every couple years - they don't have money to upgrade more than once every thirty years or so. No matter what system is used, there is just no such thing as a perfect election. It's not possible on such a large scale. They do the best they can though & operate a very open process with checks & balances. There are always representatives from both parties in the room at all times & usually media access. Give em a break will ya. They're doing the best they can with a tough unappreciated job.

NOW that said, is there any chance at all that the majority of Ameicans disagree with the democratic agenda & won't vote for liberal candidates? Do you really believe everyone loves you so much that it must be evil republicans stealing elections away? What if, just for the sake of argument, the mainstream has moved away from your ideas, & you're going to have to reject some of the things you've held so dear as you realign back to the center if you ever want to win an election again? What are the odds that those points are closer to reality than some grand conspiracy to steal ever election in the past 12 years? Little reality check maybe?
