Take a deep breath and enjoy the summer. You are obviously a driven individual. The classes you are taking are good as wellas your involvement in sports. Maybe spend some time this summer developing a community service resume. Don't be scattered in your approach. Find one item that you can work with and get in depth knowledge. Use this knowledge on your college essay.

Also, whether you get into these schools or not will not matter or not many years from now. Sometimes when God closes a door he opens a window. My son did not get into his first choice. He went to a fine small liberal arts school and studied religion and history (instead of the "big name" school where he would have studied business). He had a wonderful 4 years, met many nice people, was able to continue to play Div 3 sports all 4 years and graduated with a history honorarium. Also has a job if he wants but I think he'll continue and get a masters degree.

His small school was located in Ohio and many students go there as pre med or pre dentist.

There is a place for everyone and life's too wonderful to stress over this. Senior year will be long enough. Do apply early decision to get the waiting over with!!

You're doing everything right. Relax a bit and be human. The best universities have their pick of the crop. Everybody has perfect grades and perfect test scores. What many lack is a normal human side. Don't stress. Continue doing what you are doing and just be you. Do something a little different that sets you apart. Don't be afraid to be a little goofy at times. As a medical doctor you need to relate to patients, not just treat them.
Not all doctors go to the "best" schools. I graduated from an unknown midwestern college. I didn't go to med school but a friend of mine from the same college, Doane College in Nebraska, did. He went to the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, one of the most prestigeous in the country, and is now chief of surgery at Pittburgh. Google him if you want, Timothy Billiar.
I've seen too many kids stressing about this. Please, for the sake of future patients everywhere, be normal. Do your best and be yourself. You get into the most selective schools by being something a little different from everybody else (assuming you have the grades) and there's nobody else in the world quite like you. Be yourself, enjoy life and you'll do better than the rest.

my sister, 4.0 ***. gpa throughout high school, active in sports and community service did not make it into USC, UCLA or UC berkely. she got into UC San diego.
I would recommend you applying to those schools since they are your dream schools, but also applying to back ups. UC davis, irvine and san diego are also really good UCs. I'm pretty sure that you'll get into some kind of UC. go to a tutoring place and get help with your admission essays.
good luck.
application fee's for UCs are $60. not sure about USC.

as long as u do well and get high scores on ur SATs and your grades are high u should do well but don't forget about college interviews.. colleges would want people who are focused but also with personality and active participation in the school community.. show that you're a people person that you can get along with people and you'll be fine. good luck in everything!!
