I doubt many people here have read enough papers that their opinion would be meaningful. Not meant to be an insult. There are thousands of American newspapers; how many people have read more than, say, 50 different papers in their lifetime?
So my guess is that you'd be more interested in the opinions of people who actually assess the quality of different newspapers for a living. ;-) Check this out:

If you want an unbiased opinion....well, your out of luck.
I'd say The New York Times, but thats entirely based on the fact that I live in NYC.
