if u believe in evolution...then the egg...because it came from something that resembled a chicken but then transformed into a chicken
if you believe in creation (such as myself) then the chicken...cause God made the chicken on that certain day!

The chicken. An egg would not be kept warm and safe and be able to hatch without a chicken, therefor, the chicken must've come first. How that was, other than God making one, I don't know.

the egg, a dinosaur couldve layed the egg, but chickens didnt come up until a long time after dinosaurs. So the egg came first. OR... the chicken if your looking in the dictionary

It depends. Either an egg-laying reptile crossed with something and laid an egg, or a mammal crossed with an egg-laying reptile and gave live birth to a chicken. Or both.
