Why is cheerleading not considered a sport? It is just as hard at football or water polo. Why don't they try doing back handsprings and lifting people? Darts is considered a sport but cheer isn't on the sports list? That's not right

I think cheerleading is one of the most competitive and hard-working sports ever. I am a cheerleader, and an elite gymnast. I have also done other sports and cheerleading was the hardest. I want cheerleading on the list too. If you want to try to get cheerleading on the list contact me in some way, and I will help you!!

That's the same question I ask myself ......
I'm a cheerleader and I definetly agree with you. Cheerleading is just as hard and dangerous as any other sport. (simple if you're doing an extention and you cradle the person and she falls ..... it's just as bad as if you get hit in the eye with a baseball.) I honestly think it should be considered a sport ! : )

No scoring, more like an art. Dance is also not a sport, but it involves athletic skill. Why does it have to be a sport? What is wrong with it being an art? It not being a sport does not diminish it in any way.
