Global warming is not a myth or theory it is real. It is a real natural occurance that has melted 5 ice ages off already and will no doubt melt off the next one. But recognize this; you can't regulate or tax capitalist unless they are responsible for it.

What is so bad about the Kyoto treaty is that it practically exempts everyone but England, France, Germany and the US. I think Japan might be effected too but China is not, Russia is not and no 3rd world nations are.

1. Wrong. Every single peer-reviewed journal without exception has all said that global warming is for real.

2. How? Even China has cars that are 30% more efficient then ours. That's really f*cking sad.

3. Give it a break, I'm a real conservative and I'm more pissed that Bush spends money like a drunk Ted Kennedy in Vegas with a fist full of government bonds.

4. Global climate chage is for real and every single real report (peer reviewed) says the exact same thing. It's only the media and the government who say otherwise. This time side with the scientists - they're right more often then the politicians.

Money truly is the only thing that matters to you guys isn't it? I don't get it. Don't you have children? Don't you care that they have a planet to live on? Don't you care that some of the poorer nations of the world are more willing to give up comfort to save the planet while the United States burns more fossil fuels to serve far fewer people then any other nation on earth? Bush and his friends in the oil industry only want us to buy and use more oil so they can get richer. We have more sun and wind,- and more resources then any other country but we cave in to the moneymakers all the time because they have the power of their money to hold over us.

And as to the Democrats in D.C. who vote with the conservatives, it's because no one gets elected without being centrist and giving in to politics. No one except maybe Dennis Kucinich. The country is 1/4 conservatives, 1/4 liberals and 1/2 people who are brain dead!

Good points! Very well said.

But you forgot to mention one thing: the ecological progress made by the countries that signed the treaty is close to zero.

The goals set by the treaty haven't come close to being met. I think in some cases the numbers have gotten worse. So all these countries can bash the U.S. for not signing, but at least we are not hypocrites.

We should save the global climate, which by the way, globle cliemate is not spelled correctly. Bush should have singed it. In a way that could have helped the economy, so I don't want to hear you conservative mumbling! Bush is a moron and we should save the global climate!

your an idiot. its a well known fact there is global warming. glaciers are melting and seas are rising, eventually another ice age will come. history repeats. face it. its man messing with nature. thats why scientists have invented hybrid cars to help pollution which causes global warming. if man were clean we'd be fine. cockroachs are cleaner than we are. and THAT is SAD and DISGUSTING.

The Earth is hotter (temperature wise) than it has been in 2000 years. (Didn't you read today's New York Times)? If you read the Times. . . you'll know the world!
