For my desktop background I have about 5-6 pics that I want to have as the background all at once, to make a collage like picture. Is there an easy way I can do this without any extra software?

I would use the program paint that came with windows, assuming that you are using windows, and make them into a collage type deal. then you can set the collage up as the background. thats what i would do

Use the Paint program that comes as part of Windows. Click Start and then All Programs. Look under Accessories and you will find an icon for MS Paint.

It is very simple, and doesn't do anything fancy, but it should let you paste 5-6 pictures together for a background.

Start by creating a new, empty picture the size you want for your background (800x600, 1024x768, etc.) Save that. Then open the picture you want to add, and crop and/or resize each as needed to make them fit and save them. Then paste them onto the empty background and you are ready to go.

You could combine the pictures on one layout in a graphics program such as Paintshop Pro. Paint might work but it would be tricky to do in that one.

Then you have one picture with several layers of different pictures on it.

you would have to create the collage into one file, and then use it for a wallpaper
