I work for a corporation that says such parking space are "for customers only" I think this is infringing on my "rights" to park in such a space.

Does that corporation have a handicapped parking available in the employee's parking section? If not, you have a legitimate complaint. A corporation is responsible for accomodating handicapped employees and visitors to their site. Check out your state's Penal Code. There are rules and regulations to help disabled workers. Do they have handicap ramps for wheelchairs, and other accessible areas? If they have one problem, then they will have several. It wouldn't hurt to investigate further. Others will be grateful in the future.

Check with the local police. In Tennessee when a spot becomes handicap the control goes to the police. In other words a Handicap spot cannot be parked in by the parking lot owner unless he has a Handicap placard. The company is no longer in control of the spot. If you have a placard....you can park but....the boss is the boss.

Wait a minute--- does the parking spot say "For Customers Only" or is it a designated Handicap Parking spot.
What does your human resource department say about this?
A private corporation is under no obligation to give parking spaces to any employee. Parking privileges are not considered to be a "right."
Sorry!

Pretty hard core. If they don't have a spot for you...I would say that is discrimination. Now I'm not big on our legal system, but it seems that something otta be done about this!!
