First, Go get a professional doctor take an x-ray. Second if you have no control of any part of your foot then it is broken. Poor alignment and severe pain, also are good indicators of a break. Keep it elevated and apply heat. Only the first 24 hours will ice do any good. Finally, Go to the E.R. and see a doctor.

There are many bones in the foot, along with ligaments and cartilage and tissue. While some fractures may make in impossible for you to wiggle your toes, others may exist that allow toes to wiggle. Ice packs, or an ice bag will help the swelling go away, but an x-ray and a doctor visit will be necessary to make sure .

Go get an xray..it may be just a hair line fracture . You may have to stay off it for a while or get some crutches..either way go see a dr for an x ray.

The foot is comprised o dozens of bones (mainly tarsals and metatarsels). It is easy to miss the fact that one of these tiny bones are broken.
X-rays and/or a cat scan will determine whether one of your bones is broken. Please get it checked at the e.r. or a local clinic.
Also taking a pain killer is advised as well a medication that reduces swelling. (cold water helps but not too cold.).
Get to a health professional, At your earliest convenience..
Good luck,
Dan the Answers-Man.

my roommate just broke her foot recently. it was really really sowllen. kind of like a big ball on the side of her foot. very red and tender to the touch. she couldn't walk on it really at all. def best to see a doctor and get x-rays. in the meantime elevate it and ice it a lot. but def get to a doctor just to be on the safe side.

You need to get an x ray.
If it was broken and healed wrong they will have to re-break it...and that really REALLY hurts.

If it was broken you would know. If you are skeptical you should maybe go to a doc either way.
