in asia, people with big turned down eyes, oval face, high-nose,low cheekbones and white skin are considered beautiful whereas americans prefeer slanted eyes, high cheekbones and tanned skin...

I think that the concept of beauty is a learned behavior; what we think is beautiful is something that we learn from our environment/parents. If the media tells us that tanned bodies are beautiful (I highly disagree) then that's what we think is beautiful. If the media begins to tell us that skinny people are now ugly, then we will think that. It's all a learned behavior. Certain cultures have different influences, and that leads to different types of beauty being accepted or not. For example, I know in certain tribes they stretch the earlobes, and the lower lip, and the neck because that's what the think is beautiful. Of course, when we see something like that we think it's hideous, but that's simply because our society/parents/environment (etc.) has told us that such things are not beautiful.

I'm from Massachusetts, and I've always thought that Asian and Indian women are the most beautiful with their dark hair and big eyes. I think a little color to the skin is good too. The slanted eyes are nice.

I think that people just prefer more exotic looks. wherever you live you want someone out of the ordinary.
It's not appearance, but I get turned on by women with foreign accents, especially Italian or French.
I prefer women with an east Asian appearance, Japanese, Chinese, Korean but that is just personal. My wife was a mixture of Australian aboriginal and Chinese.
I live in Australia, which tends to have American values

I'm from the middle east. Here they usually like big light colored eyes, pale skin and soft hair.
Personally I like dark eyes of any color, dark tanned skin and wild wavy hair!
