It used to work good but recently my settings would change from the normal pop.mail.yahoo.com to an ip address: 127.0.0.1 and my login name changes from you normal yahoo login to my full yahoo email address. I change it back...it changes again. Any clue as to the reason and how to fix it?

Go to your email options/settings: point to the following servers
* IMAP: imap.next.mail.yahoo.com (incoming)
* SMTP: smtp.next.mail.yahoo.com (outgoing)
* You will need to enter your Yahoo! ID and password to sign into Yahoo!

Why not use pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com
stmp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com
Replace SBC with whom ever your carrier is.
