Captain Kirk is the one and only and will always be the #1 commander. I love his quirky sense of humor now on those commercials.
Picard is good, I'll give him that but he will never be what Captain Kirk was to millions.

i like captain kirk he puts into action and gets into trouble too and he really cares about the interprize that is his baby. now on the other hand captian picard is into the more updated version and not from the old school.
I like them both for i grew up with captain kirk watching the show.

Capt Kirk -
Because he would beam over, have sex with all of the good looking female crew members.
After beaming back, he would blow up Picard's Enterprise,
because Picard would bore him by trying to talk some sense into him.
Picard loved diplomacy - let's talk things out
Kirk loved to blow things up after sex.
Hey Zen - Capt Kirk would beat out Capt Janeway anytime. No woman can resist him.

CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW!!
Kirk is more fun and emotionally dramatic, and he was a good lookin' playah. Picard is safe, I mean, a good leader but not a man you'd want to be, not an idol, just safe.

Kirk is a fly by the seat of your pants, do it his own way and to hell with the consequinces kinda guy.
Picard is a by the rules, be very careful not to offend the liberals type.
