Greetings. First, it doesn't say that the "forbidden fruit" was an apple. Second, it doesn't say that the "forbidden fruit" had anything to do with sex, intercourse or reproduction. It was the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" that they were not to eat from (Genesis 3:1-8). I think there is some symbolism in this passage and shouldn't be taken too literally. Whatever the case, it was the ONLY fruit they were forbidden to eat. The essence of the story is that it was disobedience and thus sin, a sin that brought separation between God and man. The beautiful thing about the passage is that God gives a promise in Genesis 3:15 of a coming Deliverer (the "Emnity" he is called). This Deliverer, whom both Jews and Christians believe to be a Messiah will deliver mankind from the spell of sin and the evil one and restore the world to it's original order. As a side note, that is why genealogies become so important in the Bible. Hope that helps.

-Adam and Eve? lol
The way we populate has nothing to do with that myth. Mating is a basic animal instinct. Apple or no apple had nothing to do with it.
BTW, the myth said nothing about Apples. :-)

I don't think I understand the question. Did you mean that if they hadn't had eaten the apple they wouldn't have had sex? Well I think that was going to happen anyway, that's why there was a man and a woman. I think, I can't tell you why God does things.
Peace!
