Both the movies stunk. I liked the original versions better. No the us studios didn't have an original though on this took it from japan. There is a lot of good horror coming from japan. I think making a previous generation glow via nukes gives them a twisted view of things. but makes for some good movies.

Japan version of Ring have up to 4 episode. They even have Tv series for it. But the jap 1st official movie is a classic and it sets the standard for most of the horror movie in asia!

the ring 2 was stupid. you should see the japanese version of the ring called Ringu they have it with subtitles it makes a lot more sense.

if you really want to scare yourself silly, pls do yourself a favor and grab a copy of the japanese version of the ring. the hollywood adaptation does not do it justice.

i dont get the second one, i liked the first one until they made fun of it in scary movie 3, now i cant watch it without laffing. but i was scared when i first watched it in theatres.
