I thought you meant the kind that controlled spending and were for small government and wanted to keep government out of people's business. That would be okay.
What you call for, honestly, frightens me. Government should not make laws based on religion - period. Honestly - and this is not bashing, so please don't take it that way - the type of changes you call for would make a nation I don't think I could truly support.
I make my own moral decisions. I follow the law. I think government should be as small as possible and that includes making intimate personal decisions when it comes to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Conservatives should be rugged individualists (you call for that in your welfare reform), and I think that should apply to all issues that do not directly effect the rights of other individuals. Many of the other revolutions you call for would restrict people's rights and freedoms and I would never, EVER support such a thing in the U.S.

This nation is faced with a unstable economy, a war on terrorism, a ongoing war and occupation in Iraq, an ongoing occupation in Afghanistan, a potential nuclear Iran, a nuclear North Korea, a tanking healthcare system... need I go on?
There are FAR more pressing issue facing America than marriage amendments.
As a conservative... a Reagan conservative... a Eisenhower conservative, I think you need to look at the issues.

The term revolution is a bit harsh but I understand the agenda. If a presidential candidate came out and ran on this agenda the media would lable him or her a radical. For instance take a look at "Mountjoy for Senate" in California who holds the principles you do....he'll be lucky to score 45% of the vote here though...very sad.
While I hate it; I'm forced to accept a moderate candidate from the Republicans because I fear a far leftist like Hillary.

To me, any religion yoked to politics is too much. There are going to be people who are not religious, so people who are religious trying to run the country will always come up against some resistance. And no, I don't want the kind of revolution you are suggesting.
The kind of revolution I'd like to see, would be a dropping of swords, so to speak, between the conservatives and the liberals. When the liberals realize that we do have enemies, but the conservatives realize that we do have friends, and we don't want to take them for granted.
I wish that people would have a revolution to be more openminded of other people. I don't mind religious people, as long as I don't have to hear about it, just like I don't mind gay people, as long as I don't have to hear about their sexual excapades.
We need a revolution to be nicer to each other, to have ethics, to say thank you and you're welcome. To let other people around you on the road, and for the speeders to be more understanding of the slow drivers. I could go on and on, but perhas you get my drift. Thanks.

What you want is the same thing the terrorists want....don't you see that your kind of totalitarian thinking is nothing more than what the JIHAD is all about? God exists in many forms to many people.....your ideology is EVERYTHING America is NOT about...
YOU my ignorant little one, know NOTHING about the teachings of CHRIST....and obviously NOTHING about politics.
