Music triggers your emotions. If your in a bad mood and a song you love comes on it could make you suddenly happy. Music always has an effect on people, good or bad!

Music surrenders us. Or in other words it helps you to open up. All of us have some sort of hidden feeling at all times but music can trigger that feeling making it unhidden. Everything you say or do can be said in a song as well. Have you noticed how a slow song makes for a romantic one? Or how a loud one makes for screaming rather than just singing? Or even how that one song in between those two make for the perfect dance? Then there's that one time where you're in the middle of a conversation and you don't remember what you were saying because you're to busy singing. Sometimes a song can captivate you, not only because you like the song but also becase to you the song has meaning, the lyrics and the tone. Everything said in a song was someones point of view, someones anguish, someone's hurt, someones happiness, someone's sadness, someones love, etc. Those words and feelings all belonged to someone at one point. Just because a song says that you don't understand doesn't mean you don't. Sometimes it's not even lyrics that do it, if you're saying something romantc while a soft song is playing, the person you're talking to may take that music and make you're words the lyrics. It all is something to think about but all in all I think that a song is who you are or what you do. Just because it accompany's your words doesn't make it the great song, the song that accompany's your words also has to accompany you and the person you're talking to for it to be that one great song.

It touches an emotional side to us all and people can connect with it sometimes easier than other people, or they feel that music is an expression of the words they often can not express to others...so it kind of gives you more of a sense of feeling in the moment when you hear something in the backround that corrolates to what discussion you are having.

Music helps create and solidify memories. Isn't it true that a particular song can elicit a familiar mood or feeling, or remind you of a certain person or place? Music is the vehicle that drives you back in time to those reexperience those vivid memories.

i think that when ur talking with music in the background, it changes everything because it sets another mood along with the one that there already is, if there is one. also, i think that it makes the person you're talking to pay more attention because they're trying to hear both things at once.

Well music to me is mood altering. Music is a way to express yourself thats why so many ppl can relate to songs. We may all be different in ways but when it comes to emotions, we all feel the same.

Because music activate our perception. Our humans senses.
When our listening sense is activated our body tend to react it, resulting on changes of our mood.
Music change our mood by two ways, one by how we feel about the music is beeing played or by the memories that music, or sound bring to us.
Sometimes we find ourselves enjoying to listen songs toltally out of our taste, its because it brings a very plesurable memorie.
I never liked country music, I tend to like all types of music, but country, hap and hip hop...even classic muisc I like, being rare to find someone on my age that enjoys too...but I like and i like Opera too...as I was telling you, I don't like country music, but one day I went out with my boyfriend at that time, and a country song started to play at the background, while we were dacing, we didn't stop to dance, and that song, became "our song", even not being close to our taste at all, but it was the song played at a moment we were extremely enjoying ourselfs, therefore, it became our song.....everytime I wanted to feel that feeling, I used to play that song!.
I think the same happens when you see something beautiful, most people, when see something that please their taste they smile, or when they see someone whom they love. A good way to observe this is in the airport...everytime I go there to pick a friend I keep wacthing observing people's reaction when they see the person that they are waiting for...you can see, when they get desapointed (sometimes somebody send someone to pick the person), when they get emotional, and they get excited and so on....
The taste sense is the most strong I think, because when we eat something we don't like at all....doesn't matter with whom we were with, we never will hide ourself to eat it alone, just to bring back good memories...
Well, I hope my answer, my point of view, come to help you.
