If you're looking at conceptual handling, surely the IS with its rear drive platform is potentially the better car. However, the TL has more equipment, more space, nicer materials, more unique styling and a far, far better nav/voice command system for about the same price. I favor the TL, but I'm way past the boy racer mode of life.

The Lexus IS350 is great due to better weight distribution afforded to it through its RWD drive train layout but it's only available in automatic.
The Acura TL, though FWD, is available with a 6-speed manual which is geared more towards driving enthusiasts.
But the real king of the hill is the BMW 330i. RWD, 6 speed manual and German precision. The rest are just imitators!

I like the TL not only because I work for Acura, the 6 spd manual is very torquey and very responsive and handles good. I like the navigation and bluetooth features and the radio system sounds great. Altough I'm just a Ford guy but the TL is nice.

Both are good choices. I would prefer the Lexus because of RWD. It would depend on the climate you live in. If snow is a factor, the Acura may be a better car for you.

Acura is a Honda And lexus is a Toyota. IS is kind of small and sporty but it is not big enough for me.

the TL if you want an even compairson try the IS and the TSX. the TL is far superior.

Lexus ... rear drive. Front drive cars not sports cars or luxury cars. Accura front dive.
