yes, but obviously you can't put anything questionable in it. They will most likely want to open it and search it in security so be prepared for that and to be able to close it back up. I've brought, Dvd players, Tv's etc etc in boxes and as long as it can fit in the overhead bin, it's not an issue. You might want to create a little handle with rope, though, so it's easier to manuver.

yes...as long as they fit under your seat and in the cabin space...you are only alowed 2 items on the airplane...you must check the rest! :)

yes you can,, if its domestic flight ,, but it must be within certain appliclable sizes,,,, im a traveller

yea. it just depends on how big they are. if they're small you can bring them to your seat. if they're big they go with all the luggage.
