Ew...I think he's just a big cheese. Who really says things like that without underlying meanings? He's probably just trying to get laid. And I agree with the lady who posted first, I am kind of offended that that is how he described the work we do. My marriage is more like a partnership where we share all of the responsibilities whether it be child-rearing, house-cleaning, or working. I don't like being described as someone whp has the dinner on the table by five o'clock and has the kids bathed so my husband doesn't have to do a thing to help. That's just ridiculous.

Its not as if us men do nothing. We work hard, some DO look after their kids, we DO do house chores, we buy women presents and ye expect it for no real reason whereas a man doesnt. A man is supposed to pay for dinner automaticaly, open doors for ya, pull out your chair, these days a man is expected to be husband, wife, whore, butler, cook, cleaner, accountant, bank and father. Im not saying the other guy is wrong but us men DO appreciate the things women do. It seems women take men for granted, NEVER has a woman thought to pull out my chair, open my door, or pay for my meal. Men would like some consideration too, its hard trying to be sensitive when she needs us yet "manly" at the same time. Women are expected to fill a certain roll and while Im gald not to have those expectations thrust upon me, I still think men these days have too much expected of them also. Men need love too. Some of us need to be romanced but its always the mans job to be the romancer. Ive yet to be given a rose, box of chocolates or a free meal on a date, Im sick of having to impress the woman with a nice restaurant when a womans never brought me to one. The rules of the dating game are very much in the womens hands. Mabey we should be getting some thanks for our patience, loyalty and hard work, and believe me ladys, some of ye out there are very high maintenance, all a man needs is food, sex, water and the occational I love you, or romantic supprise but like I said, "THATS THE MANS JOB"

I think that he is full of sh~t. I've read lots of his questions. He's always acting so over appreciative of women & so helpless when it comes to issues with women. Is it just me or does someone see my point? -a-

I have to agree (even though I am a woman), men would fall off the Earth if it wasn't for us women. And I am not saying we are slaves, I ENJOY cooking and cleaning for my guy, his happiness is MY happiness!

OMG! You're getting worked up about some "words" on a screen? Sheesh! It's not like we KNOW if he REALLY means it or not... This is soo foolish! My ex used to write me poetry...it was nice until I realized actions speak louder than words. Anyone can TALK about "love" but there aren't many who can SHOW "love".~frowns
We don't even know if 'he' is really a man! I bet it's some bi or lesbian chick...~frowns
