My symptoms are pain in the left breast, my entire chest, my left arm, my left leg(also numbness in leg and arm) and I am feeling very weak. My nipple seems to be inverted and is a lot thicker than my right breast. Also I have random pains in my abdomen and lungs. I'm very concerned, but my doctor says I have nothing to worry about and will not prescribe me a mammogram. I'm worried. Please help.

I would say get a second opinion if you don't feel comfortable with your doctor's answer. You could always get a mammogram on your own if you are really worried. The rule of thumb with random pains (so my doctor says) is that if it comes once or twice, don't be too worried, but if the same pains keep returning frequently get it checked out. The numbness and pain could be coming from a nerve impingment or muscle problem. Try not to freak out too much! Hope everything works out!!

Get a second opinion if you don't feel comfortable with your doctor's answer. I don' t know your age, but if you want a mammogram, I don't see why he would not order one. Maybe you should think about a female doctor, I finally did and they have caught things the male doctors just blew off and caused me much more trouble. Just my opinion.

Make sure you get a mammogram once or twice a year.
