Should video game console makers, make units backwards compatible with older games?

i think that all video game consoles should make it possible to play their video games on their newer systems so more people will enjoy them

Yes I do but then the manufacturers would loose out on all that money they make by forcing you to buy all new games each time the system changes. At 30 to 50 dollars a pop and more that's a lot of money and when you force everyone to get an entire new collection of games they would loose way too much by making the new system friendly to the older games. You would just play the old games and not buy a lot of the new ones.

Yes they should so the players can play their favorite older games, like Hao 2 on the 360. An adapter would just be too complicated. If you had to get an adapter, or just not be able to play the old games many fans would just keep what they've got. People don't like being forced into buying things.

it would be nice to have a new system that would play all games from all systems from that particular manufacturer if not even the adpters would be nice mostly i think either faster loading times or having one console hooked to your T.V. instead of many cables

you need to keep in mind how previous the persons who incredibly make the video games are...maximum of them are mid 30s to mid 40s. i think of your too previous to play videogames once you cant keep in mind the place the potential button is.
