It depends on who you ask. While the Black Sox scandal was pretty bad, what about the scandal surrounding the greatest baseball player of all time, Pete Rose? The gambling scandal surrounding him has prevented him from entering the Hall of Fame. His credentials more than qualify him, but without him wanting to admit what he did was wrong, he's forever going to be the greatest player never to get into the HoF.
