I think PETA goes over the line all of the time. They seem to think that a person is no better than a rat or a dog and they seem like if mankind was erased from the face of this planet everything would be just great.
They don't recognize that we are created in God's image. Animals don't care one bit about other animals. Even though we have fallen from the perfect state that God originally created us in, at least as humans we do care about animals and what's right and wrong.

The only thing predictable about PETA is the fact that they consistantly step over the line. They are sensationalists. No one pays PETA the least bit of attention until they do something sensational. Beyonce is just the newest of a long line of ploys. Most of us can fight PETA by refusing to recognize their existence. However, Beyonce is a public figure who has been exploited. It would be in her best interest to simply ignore the entire nasty business. Unfortunately, she has a fan-base that demands vindication.
A few years ago, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus visited my state. PETA sent out press releases and tried to buy air time to announce/promote a PETA protest in the city where the circus would entertain the masses. PETA announced that they would have a woman on the courthouse square, wearing only a collar and shackles, being tamed by her master with a whip. Sounds like a stag movie, doesn’t it? It is true that PETA gained some publicity, but really it was only in the form of jokes. They had a small turnout of men “proving they were men,” but PETA was not taken seriously at all.
Of course, the local officials could have given PETA the recognition they wanted and arrested the young woman (who BTW wore pasties and a thong). They chose not to. The beast feeds on sensationalism. Ignore the beast, and the beast will go somewhere else to feed. The local officials monitored the situation, but they did not arrest the protestors because that would give them a larger public forum.
I don’t know what I would do if I were Beyonce, but I would like to think that if I had that type of popularity, I would ignore the beast. Nonetheless, that is a difficult decision for a public figure.

PETA rocks! Being the way they are is the only thing that will make people notice them and the cruelties to animals, so they are the way they are!
Beyonce is a cry baby who needed her mommy to defend her! She knows what she does is wrong and doesn't have the balls to admit it so mommy came to her rescue!

I think PETA has gone over the edge on a number of occasions.
Because they are now viewed as a fringe cult, they've lost most of the respect they need to be effective promoting sensible animal protection. basically, they blew it.
