The government will have you believe that it was indeed a terrorist attack from the outside. And as you can see the mind control propaganda worked well: everyone answering your question believes it was indeed the al qaeda.
However, if you looked at the evidence, physical and circumstantial then you would see that the official theory doesn't really hold much water.
I don't know how conversant you are with physics or science in general but some of the inconsistencies in the official theory are:

1. The WTC buildings came down with free fall speed. A building collapsing under its own weight takes much longer.

2. There was molten metal found at the base of the building. Kerosene doesn't melt steel.

3. The hole in the Pentagon was far too narrow and deep than a Boeing 757 could have caused.

People here who are saying that bin laden claimed responsibility obviously haven't seen the video that the US govt. uses as proof of this claim. bin laden is left handed; I think the administration forgot to check some facts before releasing that video where he is, strangely enough, right handed!

I believe it was Al Qaeda. There is so much history to keep track of that we were led to believe it was pure hatred. Personally I think it was a long underlying plan, patience is the key to the CIA; if they wait and conspire long enough then they can build their case for the public eye. It all started with the American Dream, and oil is money. Bush is all about the money. Tony Blair is becoming more about the money.....he needs to go!! For how long could Al Qaeda remain scapegoats? Their not stupid, they have more inside knowledge than we do, it was inevitable that they were going to take advantage of that. But as the information filters down the line, less truth is left, both for us and the extremists. We are simply pawns being played in a dangerous game, and its time to change that. Now is the time.

No I don't believe that al queda had anything to do with 9/11 attacks, I think that there are so many unanswered questions that we will never know the true answers to. Speculation can lead to many complicated results. If America can find everyone else associated with so called terrorism then why can't they find Bin Larden? Bin Larden is dragged up every time they need to frighten Americans. He is like the big bad wolf to a field of sheep. I don't believe in people who do acts of terrorism and I don't believe in war and the killing of innocent people and I try and read and watch everything world wide to make my own decision on world events not listen to one voice.

I do suspect China was prolly also involved as well but even if China was I know they didn't act alone, I mean boom Communist COuntries and Islamic Terrorist Countries as well as Terror groups are working together on things.

Heck after Czechoslovakia became a Democracy (before splitting into Czech Republic and Slovakia) the Czechoslovak Govt admitted that when they were Communist they were a haven for Terrorists but once they became a Democracy they weren't a haven for Terrorists anymore.

al qaeda was created in part by the cia during the russo/afghani conflict in the 1980's, they were the scapegoats for 911, as the real purpose behind 911 was to prepare the west with a fuel depot for harmaggedon
