I don't believe that anyone here wants everyone to have no fun.
I do believe that there are many people here asking serious questions, or trying to provide serious answers (per the nature and whole point of the site), who are unfortunately tortured by people who take none of it seriously.
For example, yesterday I asked a very serious question. So far, I have received one answer - it has since been deleted, due to the fact that it was simply "IDK - 2 pts.", and I reported it.
I have no problem with people answering silly questions in such a manner, but why is it necessary to waste other peoples' time providing silly answers to serious questions?
I think it's kinda like bringing a clown to a funeral...Or alternately, dressing in mourning when you go to the circus. There's room for both - it's just when you try to mix them up that it gets sticky.

If the question is serious, I answer it seriously. If the question is meant to be fun, I will give a non serious answer.

I do for the most part. But, if there is a silly question, I'll have to give a silly answer. The same with the rude ones.

Most of the questions I take seriuosly but you see one that is so silly you have to just prank it.

it depends. if people are asking dumb questions, chances are most of us will either make a comment on the question, or put funny pranks as their answer.
