The referee in Korea vs Switzerland was messing around with the flag. Take it away from him. He's coward, corrupted, and inept.

I don't think it's corruption, who would dare with there already being a scandal in Italy? Inept is the right word, the officiating has been horrible, the worst I've seen. The Koreans benefited from it in the match with France when the french made a goal that wasn't counted, this time they were on the losing end.

I agree, I even have a capture of the referee with the flag up when the swiss player was coming to score the goal, yet he was a coward and overlooked the decision that he made, because he didn't want to look bad! With referees like this.. I'm S~U~R~E the WC would be a "FAIR" competition! If your country is still in the game just hope and pray that you don't get the referees that judged the sui vs kor game! I know I would! And we still don't hear a word from FIFA.. I wonder how the Swiss are feeling right now!.

The second goal by Switzerland was legit, the Swiss player
was not off-side, because it was a Korean player that pushed the ball in front of the goal, and, the dude with the flag is the linesmen
not the ref, he is there to assist the ref, and the ref can overrule him, so, the Koreans shouldn't have stopped until the ref had blown the whistle, instead of stopping because the flag was up

The referees in this WC are incompetent and should not even be referees, much alone refereeing the world cup. In the Croatia vs. Australia match, one player received three yellow cards? Three yellow cards? What the heck?
There are so many other examples of pathetic refereeing, such as Italy vs. USA and Ghana vs. Czech Republic...

The refereeing decisions in some of the game have been very suspect indeed.
I'm sick and tired of watching these so called professional footballers taking dives and getting penalties. The players who do this are really cheating. In any other game you would be penalised or sent off. Bad sportsmenship and desperate to win at any cost.

I'm American and have no "sour grapes" about our elimination. They played poorly and lost because of it, but from what I have seen and heard about World Cup 2006 is that the referee's are trying to throw the tournament. The Swiss player was CLEARLY offside and the goal should not stand.

Yea there's a lot of bad calls. Everyone is noticing them too.
