I have I Tunes on my laptop and would like to link it into my hi fi but by just using the line out it doesn't seem to capture the fullness of the sound. The Hi Fi system is reasonable quality but seems to drop when the I Tunes is ran through it. Any Ideas please.

Use a 3mm Jack to phono lead. Hook the phono up to the back of the hi fi and stick the jack end into the headphones socket of your laptop. Its what I do.

Check the output levels on the laptop as well as the input levels on the hi-fi. Hopefully your hi-fi will have an equaliser on it so you can see the levels, if they're too low or too high then adjust them accordingly.
