No that my Nano is unfrozen, Itunes is not doing anything when I plug it into the USB port. It is acting like nothing is there. I don't think my USB port is damaged either

Try clicking on the icon to the side of your ipod in iTunes and see if that helps...if this is not possible try redownloading itunes.

Try a different USB port

this happened to my sisters ipod shuffle, she sent it back to the i pod service place, and they sent it out and gave her one to use in the mean time.

Uninstall and then re-install I-Tunes then see what happens.
