Go to www.download.com and get yourself the free version of Adaware. It will keep your puter free of the 'bugs'.
NOTE: it does nothing for virus, trojans. You need anti-virus for that.
NOTE 2: The free copy of Adaware, you have to run manually. If you pay the $20.oo, it will be automatic. I use the free version and run it once a week and it is doing a good job for me.

Just type AVG in the search engine. be careful of some of those other ones they give a few bugs of their own.
